Returns must be within 7 business days and in the same condition as received. “We inspect our pieces carefully before we ship them to comply with our ‘quality’ philosophy,” said the designer. “We also package our shipments well to avoid any breakage and request returns be packaged well, too,” she said.
Gemstone Gallery offers nuanced advice when trying on or wearing a necklace. “Many of our necklaces are made with toggle clasps,” said Ms. DeBow. “These clasps are attractive and sturdy. We suggest when trying on a necklace, making sure the toggle is firmly in place,” she said. “Similarly, many of our earrings are made with sterling silver or gold-filled lever-backs for pierced ears. This may be new to some clients so we advise gently opening the lever part first then closing it after the hook is in the ear. It’s like opening a door and then closing it,” said Ms. DeBow.
“Many of our clients have told us they prefer an antique look rather than a polished one for pieces made with sterling silver. So, we leave it up to our customers. Unless requested, we do not polish the silver in our pieces as many of them are naturally antiqued,” said Ms. DeBow.
“When you own one of our pieces, we recommend reading the ‘Gemstone Care Guide’ under ‘About Stones.’ This chart was developed by the International Gem Society and it provides good information by stone,” said Ms. DeBow.

Orders are shipped within 48 hours unless there is a special request for a custom piece.
International orders must be paid through PayPal. We charge back USPS international freight and any other charges.
For domestic orders, we use USPS flat-rate Priority Mail with 1-3 business days delivery. This includes $50 of insurance and tracking. Additional insurance may be purchased. See jewelry description and price page.
We charge $8.99, which is less than the postal service charges, unless the package is larger than the small flat rate box size (5.375 x 8.625 x 1.75), which is the size of a necklace box. Orders over $200 qualify for free shipping.
The cost for Express Priority Mail overnight delivery is $39.95 and includes $100 of insurance coverage. (Be sure to click on the overnight delivery box when you check out).
We want to accommodate our customers so we accept returns within seven business days from receipt of order. Merchandise must be in same good condition. The freight cost for returns is not refundable.
